Business case and proposed architecture
Government knowledge is distributed across long-lived repositories and document formats. Staff may struggle to identify the latest authoritative text, while manual classification and repeated agency-by-agency solutions make information governance difficult.
Connect to OpenText Livelink through its REST API, extract and structure approved content, preserve version and permission metadata, and index it for bilingual retrieval. Ground answers in the permitted source documents and present citations so staff can verify them.
Architecture Narrative
This case study proposes a bilingual knowledge platform over government records such as legislation, regulations, circulars, decisions, contracts and correspondence. Content is extracted and versioned before being indexed with repository permissions. Staff can ask questions in Arabic or English and receive answers grounded in approved material with citations. Records officers retain responsibility for official classification, retention and disposition decisions.
System Impact
Helps staff find current legislation, regulations, circulars, decisions, contracts and correspondence.
Provides answers grounded in approved sources with citations and repository permissions.
Assists records officers with classification, retention and disposition workflows.
